We’re Folding@cloud

We’ve installed and are running Folding@home’s* software in the AWS cloud, on an external extreme number crunching instance designed for Machine Learning. In other words, we’re using our deep AWS cloud expertise to boost Folding@home’s calculations and simulations. We call it Folding@cloud. So, instead of using the unused computer capacity of our laptops, we buy calculation capacity from the AWS spot market (up to 90 % discount) and donate it to the research team.
