From LIA to Elastic Move Karlstad

Björn joined Elastic as an LIA-intern while remote studying to become a “Cloud and virtualization specialist” at the vocational university Campus Mölndal.

LIA is Swedish and short for “Lärande i arbete”, which can roughly be translated to student at work, and something you take part in for about one semester while studying at certain schools. 

We quickly saw Björn’s potential and decided to offer him a job before he even finished his internship—which he gladly accepted.

We’ll definitely strive to further develop our contacts with Campus Mölndal, and their education manager Jennie Efraimsson as much as we can. The concept of a longer LIA-internship gives the student a rare chance to get to know, and grow, naturally into the company before employment.
