From LIA to Elastic Move Karlstad

Björn joined Elastic as an LIA-intern while remote studying to become a “Cloud and virtualization specialist” at the vocational university Campus Mölndal.

LIA is Swedish and short for “Lärande i arbete”, which can roughly be translated to student at work, and something you take part in for about one semester while studying at certain schools. 

We quickly saw Björn’s potential and decided to offer him a job before he even finished his internship—which he gladly accepted.

We’ll definitely strive to further develop our contacts with Campus Mölndal, and their education manager Jennie Efraimsson as much as we can. The concept of a longer LIA-internship gives the student a rare chance to get to know, and grow, naturally into the company before employment.

Mats is highly merited and joins Elastic with an impressive track record. He's been CEO for two IT-companies, growth consultant, board member, commissioner, and chairman of the board for both public and private businesses—such as Scalado AB, Ahrens & Partners AB, Emrahus AB, USWE Sports AB, and ArcAroma AB.

Mats have extensive business experience and specialize in growth, sales strategies, business values, development, and recruitment of management.

Besides all of Mats's achievements, he's also an accommodating character, with an exceptional understanding of good work culture and the person responsible for helping us develop our values and culture at Elastic Move.

Meet Robin

Our new colleague Robin has just finished his master’s degree in engineering mathematics at Lund University, but is already looking towards the future. 

“I believe data will revolutionize the world, and I want to be a part of that change”

With his drive, and specialized focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning, we believe Robin is the perfect addition to our team.

We'll be at Hotspot & Teknikfokus

Hello Karlstad! Hello Lund!

We’ll be attending Hotspot on the 17th of February, and Teknikfokus the day after on the 18th. Two separate career fairs for students at Karlstad University and Lund University.

As a growing company, we see this as a great chance to branch out, meet students, inform them about Elastic, and chat with them about Cloud Solutions—to see if they have any interest in it or questions about it.

A fun way to find talent, with the added bonus of pleasant and interesting conversations.
